Red snow

The small snow flake drifted down the sky, tumbling this way and that. The darkened clouds over the lands of Forochel pelted the ground below with snow, but this flake was different from the rest.

It skittered down the sky in an almost excited dance. Sounds of battle raged on below, echoing up towards the sky. The clash of steel meeting steel clanged loudly, growls and roars from what seemed like beasts lashed out of fanged maws. A cry struck out in the cold winter sky, a man fell to his knees helpless. The flake continued to fall, landing gently on the mans thick gray hair.

The creatures stood all around him, looking from one to another. A female head rested at the Mans side, along with what seemed to be a tongue. The two creatures shouted at one another, before running back into the cave.

Urses sat there, his knees in the snow as crimson trickled down his chest and face. He gasped for breath, grasping at his chest that had been brutally clawed and hacked at while raising his head to look at the man who stood before him. The Man offered a wide smile as he spoke.

"There's quite a bounty on your head, or your hair that is. Funny that those guaradan found you that fast isn't it? They paid well for Bulivye, wonder how much they'll pay for his grandson."

Domedrudis laughed as he pulled rope from his pack and began to bind Urses' hands and feet before grabbing a handful of his hair and draging him upon his belly across the snow, leaving a trail of red snow.
