Falathlorn, 53rd of Coirë
Dear brother,
It is long since last we corresponded and I live here rather secluded, so you will excuse my brevity, for I have many things on my mind of late.
As you know, I intend to write an account of the deeds of our ancestors; and though I am far from done with my research here, I would like to discuss it with you. You might also help fill in the pages concerning the later days and your own part in this story.
It crossed my mind, also, that, if you would stay here for a while, you might accompany me back to Imladris where I would very much like to visit the library of Elrond.
I send this letter with the Mithdirith, and I hope it finds you well. Please, if you can be relieved of your duties, consider doing me this favour; you are welcome to stay in my home for as long as you desire.
Sincerely,
Eärtinwë
