Wash Day at the River


Women of Bree gather by the river ((on Tuesdays from 16:00-18:00 server time)) to wash their clothing and talk amongst themselves...

Sometimes there is only a solitary maid, kneeling at the water's edge humming to herself, just out of sight from the gate guards. Sometimes, the women are many and the laughter carries down the stream. You may find them scrubbing, wiping their brow, others idle in the shade of the ash tree. Stray minstrels have had them up on the riverbank for a dance and a song. Now and then, a traveller will lead his horse down to drink, and find himself chatting for a while.

No doubt many courteous strangers come by with ill intent. For all the secrets of the land are whispered between the womenfolk.

OOC information


(( Exactly on the hour [server time 16:00 Tuesdays] those who have gathered on the High Stair by the washbasins will walk together to the riverbank by the West Gate of Bree. The RP event is simply to wash clothing and gossip, typically for the women of Bree, but you can aim to do whatever you like. All are welcome, and lore appropriate behaviour is always favoured.

We walk to the dirt path leading to the riverside, on the north side of the footbridge. There are a number of stones not far off, for anyone wishing to keep more to themselves. If your character is at a low level, keep in mind the bears and boars nearby may attack you. :)

For now, these gatherings are unsupervised, open anyone to take the opportunity to meet others. A few more townsfolk events should be added soon, as additional times and places for Breeland characters to meet and possibly inspire new stories. ))

Chrysanthe's Bed and Breakfast has rooms for the night from 10 silver to 25 silver.  There are five rooms to choose from, the Spilt Petal right or left, the Master, the Lily, and the Scholar. The main inn also has a large hall where feasts and events can be held for 30 silver a day. The address is 5 Long Street, Ridgeborough, the Lily and Scholar rooms are located at 6 Chestnut Street, Ridgeborough along with a more adapt living space for longer stays. Feel free to travel either location as a maid will mark you in for the night or show you around. Smaller pets are most welcome as are children.

                                BODY DISCOVERED IN BREE!

 

A body was recently discovered around beggar's alley, it was the body

of a man in his mid 30s, dressed in brown clothing. The victim was clearly

stabbed in the back by a sort of blade, and there were what appeared as

traces of poison. A torn note with a symbol were left by the body, the guards

presume this note is the mark of the killer, or whatever organization he/she

is a apart of. To this point, the city guard have not found any leads on who

the victim or killer was, or why they were killed, but assuming by the note,

                    the victim clearly did something to anger the killer.

 

       This was the note found at the scene of the crime, if you are given
