Celebhir o Annuminas
| Name | Celebhir |

| Age | young |

| Outward Appearance | Small to medium height and slightly built, there is nothing particularly noticable about Celebhir other than her vivid blue eyes. The colour of her eyes is picked up in the jewel that graces the circlet over her dark hair - finely crafted work from the old kingdom of Arnor. Non-martial, Celebhir carries only a slim elven knife with which to defend hereself. In the manner of elves she appears flawless, except for the jagged-healed scar on the palm of her left hand |

Background
Before travelling east from her father's halls in Mithlond, Celebhir's life was... normal. She knows who both her parents are, no close family members have been kidnapped or slain by orcs and her past, far from being shadowy or mysterious, is pleasant, sheltered and dominated by the joy of the sea, the creative works of her embroidery and the loving family around her.
Being young and knowing only Mithlond and its surroundings, Celebhir's world did not include the other races, the time when Elves and Men fought alongside each other passed before she was born. Her knowledge of Men being limited to received wisdom from older, conservative elves failed to prepare her for the wonder, vivacity, rapidity and chaos that erupted in her life when she wandered east and met Men for the first time.
Celebhir is fascinated by the race of Men. By their ability to change and adapt and move through time (unlike the staid preservation of her own race), their willingness to live and build and strive, even though the gift (or doom) of Men hangs over their every endeavour. She is amazed and confounded that other sentient beings can be so full of life, and yet mortal, and this fills her with compassion and curiosity.
The main influences in her life, since leaving Mithlond, have been three Men. Not that each has been the best advertisement for their race, but certainly unforgettable - Beodric the Corsair, Vallandur the Ragged Man and Araenion, dearest of all. From these three Celebhir believes that the greatest gift that lies with Men is choice - a choice over morals - to tend to good or evil.
Celebhir firmily believes that all Men who have fallen towards evil are redeemable - although she carries guilt for abandoning Beodric when he needed her. Her deep respect for the men of the north, in particular at Annuminas, caused her to commit herself to the 'causes of Men', as she would term it. To her the future of middle earth lies with the younger race. She passionately defends Men to those of her own race who would seek to disregard or belittle them, to the point that she now feels easier in the company of Men than her own race.
When threatened, Celebhir is as likely to run away than engage in a fight, hating conflict... yet at times her passion and frustration at her own inability to fight as well her friends will cause her to be reckless and dangerous to herself or others. Finally, Celebhir is a dreamer. Whilst she is disinterested in most of Elven history as 'just' history (being young, that's all it is for her, not a living memory as it is for the older elves) she is inspired by the tales of Luthien and Beren, and would follow her chosen Man into the deepest hells for love.
