Dear Mother and Father,

The last GDF I went to was just as fun as usual, and Jardic even asked me to dance, which I only did because it would be rude to refuse. Master Simbo was in charge since miss Lina had other business. So of course bagpipes were played!

Dear Mother and Father,

I've been very excited the past few weeks because the Songburrow Strollers had planned a fifth anniversary concert that would actually be five concerts! And it was everything I'd expected! I was a little late for the first one, in Brockenborings, which was near where they hold the fencerunning races on the Bullroarer's anniversary. But I did get to hear a few songs and danced with a very nice hobbitlad I never caught the name of.

Such a busy week! The Farmer's Faire has started in Bywater, so hobbits from all over the Shire have gathered to visit and taste the produce. In fact, it's been so busy in Bywater, that the Green Dragon Friday got moved to The Bird and Baby in Michel Delving, just to avoid the crowds. That didn't stop us from having a wonderful time though, and a new two-man band played... the Hillbilly Hobbits I think they were called. They had some lovely toe-tappers.

Life goes on much as usual. Whatever was ailing me seems to have passed. I attended the GDF and enjoyed it very much. I had no problems dancing this time either, to my great relief. Lina played a song about Ruff and someone else recited a clever poem they had written and it was a lovely evening. I was dancing when I heard someone calling my name. It was Jardic! Back from his adventures. Looking a little less plump and a little more brown than when he left, but still the same cheeky Lightfoot look in his eye.
