Today I traveled to my first Hûd i Eledhrim . I now know something I didn't as I attended. One that I have been among the men of Bree far longer than I had realized, and that wearing informal clothing is looked down on. Even more so when you wear the scraps of your travels.

Several bound volumes, some of which are obviously home-made with stiff pine bark for covers and ash bark for pages. Others are proper leather bound journals with creamy vellum pages. Most of the pages are inscribed with a neat hand, perhaps more masculine than feminine. These are kept among her saddle-bags.

There is much to write and no time.  I came to learn secrets and learn them I did.The days are very evil.

All Learned know that the city of Fornost fell to the Witch King of Angmar in T.A. 1974.  The armies of Angmar were driven out the following year by the combined might of King Eärnur and the High Elves of Lindon. None in the South remember how this was accomplished and so I came to here and listened to the voices on the winds and searched the signs and I have learned a little.

So I woke up. Lying down on a bed, all happy with myself - Finally a day where I hadn't woken up in a pool of my own blood, or a puddle of ale. Staring up at the roof of the room, I tried to remember why I was so happy for some odd reason - I mean, just yesterday I met some charmer, a strange man called 'Cobb', and had my head to ache and worry about... Strange watchmen in Red.
