These are tales of Methlegel Feveren son of Gellin son of Echeleb Túbeng, known to all as Legelion, as recorded separately from his personal chronicles written by his own hand in the Narn Hên i-Laegrim.

Legelion's oronnad was on the 51st day of Iavas in the 2964th year of the Third Age of Middle-earth, and he was born in Taur-nu-Fuin on the 53rd day of Iavas the following year.

These tales range between the years T.A. 2970, when he was but five years old, and T.A. 2985 when he had lived for twenty years beneath the stars, Sun and Moon.

However, within this chronicle, these tales of the springtime of his life are not recorded in chronological order.
