Greetings,

If like me you have a love of cartography or maybe you'd just like to learn more about the world beyond the Shire then come along to the Hall of Maps, 2 Chalk Road in the small village of Pearbridge, near the South Farthing gate. The hall is open to the public every day, admission is free. I know that from the outside it looks like a farmyard but inside you will be transported to places far beyond the bounds. The maps are mostly from my own collection but we also have a few on permanent loan form the Mathom Society.

The Frogmoors is a damp, wet and slightly wild place, and it is usually not a place yer would stage a musical tale of hobbits, spring traditions and badgers. Still, we will do so on Sunday March 30th, and here his how yer find yer way there!

The badger musical “Born on the Frogmoors” is an attempt to lure them mythical singing badgers of the Shire woods out in the open. There are no guarantees we will see them, but at least we will try! And if we don’t, hopefully the musical will be a grand thing to enjoy anyways.

The picture above shows the location of the musical. It is held east of Frogmorton, north of the river ((at the location 31.7S, 66.9W)). Below yer can see a map of the place too. the red arrow shows the location.

Hope yer find the way there! If not, just ask some of the local hobbits!
