Orcs. It had been strange, seeing their tracks on the forest floor. Smelling their blood in the air. Ashwyneth had often searched for plants and hunted for animals among these woods, and very rarely had she even heard of orcs here.

Act III, Part IX: The Great Plague

Soon after the Mistress left, the healer Mellie Winterbloom arrived as promised, bringing with her far more supplies than she had the previous day. Upon inspecting her patient and learning there had been no significant incidents or changes through the night, she brought up a delicate subject; the man was positively filthy. It was apparent he hadn't been allowed to properly bathe himself for a very long time.

Hope? Fear? Anticipation?

Daisy wasn't sure how she was supposed to feel. She had waited for so long to learn anything new about her past or identity that she had almost given up hope; and now, everything was happening so fast. First that crude woman “Susan” showed up yesterday, claiming that if Daisy met with her “friend” he had a “present” for her. The woman's refusal to offer any details was suspicious, but the opportunity to meet someone who apparently knew her from before she lost her memory was too intriguing to pass up.

Jonn stretched out his limbs, preparing for his first morning constitutional in far too long. It had been some six weeks since receiving the injuries that required him to recover for so long, and he had done his best to heed his elf-healer's orders not to push himself. The rest was necessary to make sure he mended properly, but when he tried hefting his large shield and felt how much heavier it seemed than before, he realized enough was enough. It was time to start getting back into fighting shape.

Many days have passed since my last entry, and I have tried to deepen my conviction to not use up too much of this little journal too fast.
However, developments have been ongoing during the time the ink was absent from these pages. My exploration of this forest has led me deeper and deeper among the shadow of its trees, careful to not upset its sensitivities, yet determined regardless to find what ever knowledge it has to offer.
